Our Story
About our founder
Lumissoly was born from a simple question:
What will remain of our memories?
I’m Laurie Liaume, founder of Lumissoly and a mom.
People often say that when someone passes away, they take their story with them. That’s how I felt when my grandmother passed away.
She was the keeper of our family’s memories.
The stories, the details, the voices, the gestures…
It all lived within her.
And when she left us, it wasn’t just her presence that I missed.
It was her story.
When I became a mother, I realized just how fragile memory is.
Our photos lie dormant in our phones.
Our videos get lost in the cloud.
Our voice messages vanish with a forgotten password.
In the end, nothing we capture belongs to us anymore.
Nothing is passed on or told...
And yet, we have so much to pass on to our children.
A presence. A voice. An intention. A trace.
Lumissoly was born from this conviction:
a piece of jewelry can become a guardian of memory.
An object we wear.
That we pass on.
And that continues to speak, even as time passes.
